Meet the Founder
Hi! Maryem here.
I am a dedicated teacher who loves inspiring people to learn and practice Yoga and meditation. I believe they allow us to breathe, move, and sit with more ease.
It all started with me walking in to a random yoga class at the gym, not knowing what to expect...
I very quickly fell head over heels with yoga and mindfulness. Practice left me walking on air every time. Ten years into it, I couldn't just keep it to myself anymore!
An inspiring and fulfilling stay at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India, convinced me that this practice was the way for me and so I enrolled in my first teacher training and have not looked back.
I have spent over a decade in a constant pursuit of knowledge to refine my skills, improve my technique and master my craft. Today, I use the knowledge and experience I gathered earning my RYT-500, becoming a Reiki Master, and being certified as a Mindful Meditation Instructor.
By guiding practitioners through yoga sequences, and offering free, short guided
meditations on the podcast, I'm able to do what makes me happiest and
most at ease.
Our Philosophy: Breathe
Classes with Maryem are anatomy-informed. In them, Maryem creates a practice space where mindfulness is placed on safe alignment and where you are reminded to use your steadied breath and drop the present moment at the heart of your practice.
Regardless of your experience level with Yoga, if you’re seeking a thoughtful whole-body stretch and toning, more fluid, easeful movement, and an overall sense of balance in the body and mind, this practice is an excellent way to spend a moment simply taking care of you.
Maryem delights in showing those who think they’re “not flexible enough to do yoga” that they can indeed do it. Together, she leads practitioners to focus on uniting breath, body and mind...
